The jobAs our new legal counsel professional, you’ll join our experienced Legal & Compliance department and become part of the regulatory compliance team. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization—including business units, Security, Audit, and internal IT — to support the daily operations of our compliance programs and help ensure we meet the highest standards.Guided by our Senior Legal Counsel, you’ll contribute to the administration, implementation, and continuous improvement of our regulatory frameworks.In short, you can look forward to:Supporting the daily administration, monitoring, maintenance and continuously improvement of our regulatory compliance programs, particularly within GDPR, NIS2 and EU digital legislation. Assist in maintaining compliance documentation e.g. risk assessments, TIA, LIA, policies, and procedures. Review and negotiate data processing agreements with customers and suppliers. Help prepare reports and documentation for internal and external audit. Support incident response processes, including NIS2 incident handling and personal data breach and follow-up activities. Help deliver regulatory compliance training sessions to the business units. Provide first-line advice to the business units on the regulatory compliance programs for GDPR and NIS2 and their impact on contracts, security requirements, and internal policies. Joining the teamYou will join a strong professional environment in our Legal & Compliance department consisting of 15 employees out of which 11 are legal professionals (attorneys-at-law, jurists or law students). The team is mainly based in Aarhus, but are also represented in London, Cologne, and Bucharest.Your QualificationsYou thrive in cross-functional environments and enjoy collaborating with stakeholders across various departments, supported by experienced team members. With strong communication skills, you’re able to clearly convey regulatory compliance requirements to business users. You are fluent in both Danish and English, written and spoken, and bring a detail-oriented, organized mindset to your work. Your eagerness to learn, collaborative spirit, and strong sense of responsibility make you a valuable team player.We’re looking for someone with:A master's degree in law. At least 2 years of experience in a compliance, legal, or regulatory role—ideally within tech, IT, software, or a law firm. Minimum 2 years of experience with GDPR. Familiarity with NIS2, the AI Act, and ISO standards (e.g., ISO 27001, ISO 9001) is a plus, but not required. Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects.
