The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law, with a focus on development and transactions. This role will provide legal counsel and support across all phases of real estate development projects, from acquisition and financing to construction and disposition.ResponsabilitiesProvide legal advice and counsel on all aspects of real estate development projects, including:Land and property acquisition and due diligenceEntitlement and permittingConstruction and design agreementsFinancing and joint venturesLeasing and salesProperty managementDraft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including purchase agreements, development agreements, leases, construction contracts, and loan documentsManage and mitigate legal risks associated with real estate development projectsConduct legal research and analysis on relevant real estate laws and regulationsCollaborate with internal teams, including development, finance, and constructionInterface with external parties, including government agencies, lenders, investors, and consultantsStay abreast of legal developments and industry best practices in real estate developmentCV RequirementsLaw degree from a reputable university/law schoolAdmission to the bar in the country of residence. Dual-qualified lawyers are especially encouraged to apply, especially if they are also qualified in a common law jurisdiction5+ years of experience in real estate law, with a focus on development and transactions. Prior in-house experience with luxury real estate developers is highly desirable.Strong understanding of real estate development processes and regulationsExcellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong communication and interpersonal skillsNice to haveGood international law firm experience is a plus. If working experience in the UK, US, Singapore, HK or Australia it’s a plus.
