Requirements Description and Requirements Position overview: As a Labor and Employment Law Lead you provide advice, guidance, and representation related to employment laws and regulations. You report directly to the Senior Legal Manager and work with relevant stakeholders to ensure that the company is compliant with relevant employment law and regulations and company policy. You handle all labor relations and employment negotiations, grievance procedures and disputes in-house, including cases in court, arbitration, and agency hearings. Key responsibilities: Provide legal advice about legal rights and obligations in the context of employment like hiring practices, wage disputes, discrimination claims, workplace safety regulations and termination proceduresDraft, review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents such as employment contracts, non-disclosure agreements, severance agreements and company policy documentsSupport the organization to be compliant with relevant employment laws and regulations by collaborate on the creation or review of policies and procedures, conducting audits, and providing relevant training to leaders and team membersSupport the resolution of low to moderate risk disputes and grievance procedures between employers and employees through negotiation or litigationRepresent the organization in court, arbitration or hearings before regulatory bodies, presenting evidence, making legal arguments, and navigating procedural rules for low risk matters in the location where you are licensed to practice Requirements: Flexibility to work on-site - MandatorySchedule flexibility - Mandatory Core competencies: Giving supportFocusing on customersEmbracing technologyManaging self-development Functional competencies: English - B1 or above - RequiredOral and written comprehension.Appropriate use of language.Strong knowledge in labor law including labor code, judicial regulations and precedentsAbility to analyze large amounts of information, identifying relevant facts, and propose viable solutionsAbility to articulate complex legal concepts and strategies in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner, both orally and in writingAbility in litigation skills Ability to act independently with little supervision/oversightAbility to solve complex problems using sophisticated thought, exercise judgement and identify innovative solutions Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in labor relations and employee representative mattersLaw degree from an accredited law school Bar license and public notary authorization is required Additional Job DescriptionAs a Labor and Employment Law Lead you provide advice, guidance, and representation related to employment laws and regulations.
