If you thrive in a dynamic, growth-minded environment where your contribution directly matters and you’ll work alongside skilled professionals focused on achieving business-driven legal solutions, Mayer is where you can make an impact.ResponsibilitiesProvide support to attorneys, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetingsPrepare and file legal documents, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlinesConduct legal research using tools such as Westlaw to support case preparationManage case files through document management system (iManage), maintaining organization and accuracyAssist with document review, proofreading, and legal drafting to ensure high-quality submissionsPerform data entry tasks related to case management and maintain accurate recordsFacilitate communication with clients, expert witnesses, and other parties involved in litigation while maintaining professional phone etiquetteSupport project management efforts for ongoing cases, including tracking deadlines and deliverablesExperienceStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectivelyExcellent writing skills for drafting correspondence and legal documentsProficient in legal case management software such as iManage or similarExperience with document review processes and familiarity with clerical tasks such as filing and transcriptionSolid research skills to assist attorneys in preparing cases effectivelyAt least 2 years experience as a Legal Secretary/Assistant working on insurance defense cases.
