Assistant Project ManagerJob DescriptionThe Assistant Project Manager will oversee retail and restaurant projects, managing client relationships from the initial assessment of needs through design concept presentations and final project delivery. This role ensures a positive client experience by collaborating with design and technical teams to define and understand project scope. ResponsibilitiesManage overall client relationship to ensure a positive experience. Collaborate with design and technical teams to understand project scope. Present and work with clients on approved projects. Establish and ensure adherence to set budgets.

Inform Senior Project Manager, Project Director, or client of any budget variances and make appropriate modifications. Manage collections for assigned projects and inform Finance Manager of any issues with timely collections. Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and potential clients. Assign tasks, oversee work, and provide feedback to staff assigned to projects. Essential Skills2-5 years of Construction Project Management experience. Experience in commercial projects, preferably retail/restaurant. Proficiency in project management software such as Building Connected, Procore, Microsoft Project. Experience in writing and negotiating contracts for services, consultants, and contractors.

Strong communication skills and the ability to manage and lead team members internally and externally. Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in retail construction. Understanding of construction management. Work EnvironmentThe position is based in-office five days a week, with occasional site visits. The office is newly renovated, located in North Chicago near O'Hare, and houses about 10-15 employees. The company boasts a tight-knit culture and offers the opportunity to take on new roles and expand business. There is also an opportunity to work with one of the top general contractors in the Chicagoland area.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36. 05 - $43. 26/hr.
