In collaboration with the Vice President for Ambulatory Operations, the Executive Director will provide direction and support for strategy and program growth for Ambulatory Operations.

In collaboration with other Executive Directors of Ambulatory Operations, will lead the implementation of new initiatives and management of programs focused on the expansion of ambulatory services across the enterprise regional care services. Will collaborate with key stakeholders across the institution in moving ambulatory operations forward in an increasingly competitive and cost sensitive environment. Key Functions Collaborate with VP ambulatory Operations to create and execute the strategic annual and long-term growth strategic operational plans for ambulatory operations locally and regionally. Collaborate with institutional leaders to ensure clear alignment of institutional goals and objectives.

Collaborate with other members of the management team and physician leaders in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs designed to improve, measure, and evaluate the quality of services, outcomes and the level of patient satisfaction. Comply with institutional, divisional and policies and procedures and external regulatory requirements. In planning, implement and evaluate strategies to ensure continuous safety and accreditation readiness. Ensure that strategic initiatives and operations are in compliance with professional standards, applicable laws, accreditation/compliance/ regulatory requirements and support MDACC's core values, mission, and strategic initiatives.

Coordinates and participates in space programming/space planning to include functional programming, design, development, and technical specifications for all ambulatory operations. Provide input and support to staff to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. Develop and maintain effective relationships with campus partners to evaluate service and make necessary changes to improve quality Participate in evaluating, selecting, and integrating healthcare technology and information management systems that support patient care needs. Oversees the compliance of all sections to stay within compliance with institutional human resource policies and procedures, e. g. mandatory trainings, influenza injections, licensures, etc.

Maintain faculty hiring plans and collaborate with operational ED and Regional Directors plans for onboarding new faculty across the enterprise Provide data, reports as requested by VP Ambulatory Operations Oversee the ambulatory project management team and financial teamOther duties as assignedRequirementsRequired Education: Master's degree in business administration or related fieldRequired Experience: Minimum of eight (8) years of related experience in healthcare operations, program management, and financial planning & analysis. Five (5) years of management experience, including direct oversight of teams and operational strategy. This position may be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, as defined in Section 113.

001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code and therefore may require routine reviews and screening. The ability to satisfy and maintain all requirements necessary to ensure the continued security and integrity of such infrastructure is a condition of hire and continued employment.
