Job DescriptionThe Office of the District Attorney, Bronx County (“BXDA”) is charged with the twin goals of ensuring public safety and striving for equal justice for the over 1. 4 million members of the Bronx County community. By “Pursuing Justice with Integrity,” the BXDA places a focus on assistance for crime victims while simultaneously ensuring fairness to defendants. Moreover, the BXDA aims to balance the need to seek appropriate punishment for certain crimes while recognizing when punitive measures do not adequately advance justice.

In furtherance of this mission, the BXDA seeks experienced and enthusiastic Human Resources Wellness Coordinator. Job ResponsibilitiesSpecific duties include, but are not limited to the following: Assist In Wellness Program DevelopmentSupport the design, coordination, and execution of wellness initiatives, such as stress management workshops, fitness challenges, and mental health support programs aimed at enhancing employee well-being.

Provide Resources & ReferralsOffer confidential guidance to employees by connecting them with mental health professionals and wellness resources. Assist the onsite clinician with schedule coordination and ensure smooth operation of wellness services. Contribute to the execution of mental health initiatives and awareness campaigns to reduce stigma and foster a supportive workplace culture. Support Wellness EducationAssist the Wellness Director in coordinating wellness workshops, creating flyers, and distributing educational materials. Encourage employee participation in activities that promote a health-conscious workplace culture. Employee Engagement & OutreachHelp engage employees across departments to promote wellness programs and encourage participation.

Use communication channels like internal newsletters and meetings to keep employees informed about available wellness resources and programs. Administrative SupportAssist with clerical duties related to wellness programs, including scheduling meetings, preparing program materials, and tracking participation. Support the Director of Employee Wellness in gathering and analyzing input from program participants to assess the effectiveness of wellness initiatives. Maintain spreadsheets to track wellness program events, participation, outcomes, and participant feedback. Other duties as required.

Preferred QualificationsA baccalaureate degree and two (2) years of prior work experience in mental health, community work, wellness resources or human resources OR High School diploma/GED and four (4) years of prior work experience with related field. COMMUNITY ASSOCIATE - 56057QualificationsQualification RequirementsHigh school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.
