Job SummaryIn this role, the Drone Visual Observer is responsible for supporting the Drone Operations team on remote broadcast events and will help with setup, maintain visual line of sight with the drone, and provided assistance to the pilot as needed. Responsibilities Responsible for maintaining visual line of sight with drone during operation. Maintain situational awareness, scanning the airspace for potential hazards, such as other aircraft, obstacles, or people. Responsible for effective communication with the RPIC, relaying information about the drone's position, altitude, and any potential hazards. Assist with battery and lens changes on drone.

Ability to troubleshoot problems including camera, cabling, lens, etc. issues/concerns Manage and organize gear and connectivity of drone, video, and communications. Required Qualifications Valid US driver's license. Demonstrated knowledge of FAA Part 107 regulations. Knowledge of UAS operations within a production environment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to visually inspect equipment and materials to ensure quality standards are met. Must be able to communicate effectively with team members and clients, both in person and over the phone Proficient knowledge of live production enviroments.

Problem solving and troubleshooting using technical acumen and strong communication tools to best convey issues and resolutions. Schedule flexibility must be available to travel and work weekends and holidays as schedule and show needs require. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrate strong knowledge of broadcast equipment and remote production show needs. Required Education High School DiplomaThe hiring range for this remote position is $25 to $35 per hour, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
