Job Description

Job purpose: To ensure that the Picking, receiving, packing, shelve maintenance, manufacturing of stock and overall housekeeping is done in such a manner and accuracy to meet the customers needsKey Responsiblitites Receiving of stock:

Record all Receiving documentation on the Receiving sheetDouble check stock description and quantities against documentationCheck for damagesIf any discrepancies, inform the Branch Manager immediatelyMake out the Return for Credit to the Supplier and it must be signedWhen all is correct sign the Waybill from the supplier/courierDo all GRVs immediatelyMake out the Return for Credit to the Supplier when requiredEnsure a 2nd check is done on all stock receivedLabel all stock correctlyEnsure that the stock is put away immediately after labelled every dayLiaise with Branch Manager to arrange for stock to go back to the Supplier General:

Assist with the IBTs, couriers, dispatching, customer collections etc when the IBT Clerk/Receiving Clerk is on leave/sick/lunchAssist to dispatch the Return for credit items when the courier come and pick it up when requiredAdhere to the Airlock system at all timesEnsure the Marking area in Receiving/Dispatching is cleanAssist Where Needed When Required In Other DepartmentsEnsure no unauthorised people in the back storesTake disciplinary action where neededReport all electrical, plumbing, etc to the Branch ManagerMonitor staff coming in and out from the Receiving and Despatch cagesEnsure all gates and doors are lock at close of businessCarry out any Lawful and Reasonable Instruction related to WorkAssist with stock dispatching and loading or customer collectionsReport any no stocks to Branch ManagerReport any stock discrepancy to the Branch ManagerAssist with stock taking/daily stock countsEnsure allocate back stock cage are packed neatly and kept tidy.
