We are seeking expressions of interest for an intermediate/Senior planner at a dynamic Company based out of Christchurch, but servicing New Zealand. We accept a diverse workload, focusing primarily on residential and subdivision resource consents and planning advice while also expanding into the rural/regional sector. We are a small team with a clear vision of advocating for our clients while maintaining positive and productive processes with local authorities nationwide. Communication and people skills are especially important as we also emphasise building and maintaining relationships with all we work with.

RequirementsMinimum of 5 years planning experience, preferably being a combination of public and private sectorsKnowledge of resource consents processes for construction and subdivision projects, regional and rural experience would also be useful as we are expanding in this directionhearing experience would be highly favouredA focus on problem solving and thinking outside of the boxExperience in collaborating with clients, consultants, and councilStrong work ethic and desire to focus on personal/professional excellence and ongoing developmentConfident enough to push back and strongly advocate for our clientsAbility to self manage and be independent, take initiative and be comfortable to self reflect and discuss mistakesExcellent communication and people skills, ability to achieve goals while respecting everyone we work with.
