Special Event Manager LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a special event manager with 5 or more years of experience for a direct hire opportunity for a well-established non profit organization. This position is hybrid in New York, NY. This is a great role that offers the opportunity to work with a results-oriented and dedicated team. Responsibilities: In collaboration with the Director of Special Events, develop and execute a minimum of eight cultivation and stewardship events annually—such as in-person receptions, webinars, and panel discussions—targeted at Institutional and Individual donors across the country.
Research and identify venues, vendors, speakers, and content. Manage invitation and RSVP process (including invitation lists, invitation design, registration, seating, etc. ). Manage the stewardship process for special events, including the coordination of acknowledgment letters, donor recognition programs, and delivery of sponsorship benefitsOversee the fulfillment of sponsorship packages, ensuring accurate name and logo recognition, strategic table placement, and adherence to all agreed-upon benefits. Help plan and implement in-person and virtual events, including researching event location/venue and day-of-event logistics. Assist in the negotiation of contracts with vendors and event contributors and manage implementation of contracts. Qualifications:
Bachelor's DegreeProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Proficient in event scheduling, production logistics, administrative coordination, and sponsorship management. Ability to plan and administer multiple projects. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Meticulous organizational, project management, and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure; self-driven with a strong track record of problem-solving; skilled in collaborative work across varying levels of supervision.
