The Library Associate I, under direct supervision, performs a variety of library clerical, technical, and customer service tasks.If you areexperienced in assisting library customers in the use of library services and technology, and excited about the prospect of joining an organization that values people and community,the Library Associate I could be an excellent opportunity for you!Full-time Salary RangeLibrary Associate I-$52,000.00- $77,001.60AnnuallyThis recruitment will supplement an existing Eligibility List for the Library Associate I position, which will expire on May 5, 2026. If you are already on an Eligibility List for the Library Associate I and wish to be considered for this role, please reapply to show interest.YourImpactAssist library customers in the use of library services and technology; perform lending services functions such as checking in/out materials, registering new patron accounts. Handle money for fees or other purposes. Assist with interpreting library policies and procedures for customers; maintain confidentiality of customer records. Respond to customers regarding general and routine directional inquiries and refer customers to appropriate resources and staff. Assist with collection maintenance as directed. As directed, assist with the supervision of facility rentals and enforce rules applicable to that reservation. Hours may include evenings and weekends.
