The Licensed Aircraft Engineer supports Engineering by supervising the operation to enable our customers to enjoy our service in the form of exceptional safety, on-time performance and cabin experience.Key ResponsibilitiesLine Maintenance is an operational critical section in Engineering Department that supports the Company’s brand and business by delivering a safe, reliable and cost-effective line maintenance service to Cathay Pacific Airways as well as our third party customers in the global network.The Licensed Aircraft Engineer leads and supervises a team of Aircraft Technicians / Aircraft Mechanics in performing operational functions ensuring delivery of a safe and exceptionally reliable travel experience that supports our brand and business.Responsible for:Lead a team of Aircraft Technicians / Aircraft Mechanics, supervise and certify routine and non-routine maintenance for Cathay Pacific Group and third party aircrafts meet the Company / Customer / Authority’s requirements and standardsCoordinate with other operational teams to ensure delivery of a safe and exceptionally reliable travel experience to the customersEnsure compliance with local Occupational Health & Safety standards and regulations / guidelinesOversee the performance of the ground handling third party suppliersExecute the contingency plans and support ad hoc operational requirements such as diversions, charters, ad hoc aircraft type changes, major disruption recovery, etc.Ensure the availability, serviceability and cleanliness of station ground equipment, vehicles and facilitiesPerform station administration and ensure station documentations / passes are up-to-date and validPerform local or overseas operational relief duties as requiredE&A Emergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as required RequirementsQualification & SkillB1 or B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence (HKCAD or equivalent) with appropriate aircraft type endorsement(ex. FAA, CASA, EASA)Must hold a minimum of 2 aircraft type approval (A320, A330, A350, B777, B748, B787) & experience , preferably on type operated by Cathay at level 3 standardMinimum 5 years’ experience in an aircraft maintenance environmentSolid operational and technical knowledgeGood communication and problem-solving skillsPreference is given to applicants currently residing and authorized to work in Korea.
