Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW)

Responsibilities:Design temporary electrical installations within the capacity and conduct T&C for electrical installationsDaily checking of electrical systems and troubleshooting of electrical faultsResponsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical equipmentProvide support to the operational team related to all electrical power requirements on siteProvide assistance and guidance in the temporary electrical and permanent electrical designEnsure compliance to statutory regulations, code of practice and the Company’s safety rules and regulations as well as SOP for electrical system workSupervise the work performed by subcontractors and inspect the electrical installationsSupervise site electricians and coordinate with company staff on temporary electrical workEnsure temporary electrical installations follow SS 638 and SS 650 Part 1 and 2 standardsSupervise the setup of the generator and DB installationConduct monthly inspections of the construction company’s electrical toolsLiaison with project team and authority and electrical submission QPEnsure timely completion of the work activities, according to the programmeRequirements:Diploma/Higher NITEC in Electrical EngineeringPossess Grade 7 Electrician’s Licence from EMA with at least 5 years’ relevant work experienceHands-on experience in troubleshooting electrical equipmentAble to diagnose and rectify M&E faults independentlyAble to lead the Testing and Commissioning of electrical systemAble to adopt electrical safe system works in the projectAble to maintain documentation regards to ESSW systemFamiliar with ACMV, Electrical, Fire protection and UPS SystemExcellent team player, good interpersonal skills and a “can-do” attitudeAbility to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environmentInformation provided in response to this job advertisement will be treated in strict confidence and be used for recruitment purpose only.
