Job DetailsDescriptionLife Enrichment Coordinator for NHC HealthCare MauldinNHC HealthCare Mauldin is seeking a Part Time Life Enrichment Coordinator. Applicant must have a desire to work with seniors, be compassionate, caring and creative. The ideal candidate must be energetic, highly organized and have knowledge of the domains of wellness as it relates to programming in long term care. Your goal would be to provide daily meaningful activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents.Position HighlightsLead the Activities team and provide support, developing and implementing a well-rounded Activities program for all patients to include evenings and weekends, celebrating holidays and big events (When this virus is over)Timely completion of assessments, care plans and associated paperworkFacilitating monthly Resident Council meetingsSupervising activities assistants to include training, scheduling, etc.Managing the center volunteer program to include recruitment, training, scheduling and recognitionEnsuring that all local, State and Federal guidelines regarding programming are metPartnering with other departments to support marketing efforts in the communityOther duties as assignedOther Important Skills AreStrong communication and time managementAbility to be a team player and work with other departments to build staff moraleExperience with planning eventsBasic typing and computer skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Word and Publisher specifically for producing monthly calendars and newsletters along with other external and internal marketing materialQualificationsAssociate’s degree from an accredited college or university ORSatisfactory completion of two years of college ORTwo years of experience in long term care as it relates to activities and memory carePrior experience in a healthcare setting.
