We are now seeking a Lighting Specification Representative to join our New Zealand sales team, based on the South Island.About the RoleAs a Lighting Specification Consultant, you will play a key role in promoting, specifying, and selling lighting solutions to the electrical building services industry. Your mission: to deliver exceptional value to clients through smart, sustainable, and high-performance lighting systems.Key Responsibilities:Achieve lighting solution sales targets in line with annual goals.Build strong relationships with electrical specifying engineers through: o In-person meetings and solution presentations o Technical workshops and education on lighting standards and technologies o Virtual engagement (email, video conference, digital presentations)Promote and utilise in-house lighting design services.Assist in developing lighting schedules and specifications during project design stages.Present design pipelines and opportunities at sales meetings.Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities with: o Specifiers, engineers, and architects o Electrical contractors, wholesalers, and end usersSupport the quoting team to ensure timely and accurate project quotes.Maintain excellent customer communication and response times.Deliver outstanding service and be the key liaison for customer needs.Continuously improve internal sales systems and procedures.About YouWe’re looking for someone who is passionate about lighting, technically minded, and commercially driven — a trusted advisor who enjoys building long-term relationships and delivering resultsProven success in lighting specification sales or a related technical sales field.Strong client acquisition and account management skills.A self-motivated, goal-oriented approach, with the ability to collaborate effectively.Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets and budgets.Strong presentation and communication skills with the confidence to lead workshops and meetings.Experience identifying tender opportunities and managing relationships across contractors, wholesalers, and end users.Excellent organisational skills for tracking quotes, projects, and pipelines.A genuine commitment to customer satisfaction and technical excellence.Versalux OffersA passionate team that is always shaping the future of lighting — from energy-efficient designs to advanced lighting technologies.A supportive, innovative, and growth-focused environmentOpportunities for professional development and technical trainingCompetitive remuneration and performance incentivesThe chance to work with cutting-edge lighting solutions and a respected brandIf this sounds like you, please submit your application with references and covering letter should also be submitted toemployment@versalux.com.auPlease note: Only suitable candidates will be notified for first round interviews
