Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Line 1 Risk & Governance Manager to join our Client, Growth & Strategy division. The Risk & Governance Manager is responsible for:Managing and facilitating both financial and non-financial risk assessments associated with the onboarding of new clients and new opportunities for existing clients. The Risk & Governance Manager will actively engage with Strategic Growth Team, Cuscal’s prospective clients, together with the key internal stakeholders to deliver an optimum client experience whilst working within Cuscal’s risk framework. Overseeing both financial and non-financial risk and client due diligence during onboarding of any new clients to Cuscal and material new opportunities for existing clients. As a Line 1 representative, ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements by identifying, documenting and mitigating potential compliance and operational risks. You’ll also make an impact by: Initial gathering of required credit risk information in a timely manner. Preparing credit, risk and compliance due diligence submissions for all ‘new to Cuscal’ opportunities and material new business opportunities for existing clients, in accordance with the Cuscal’s Risk Appetite Settings and credit policies. Working with the Business Development Managers and Client Partnership Managers to ensure risk requirements and processes are adequately addressed within sales proposals and tender responses. Being a key client advocate internally at Cuscal and provide information and education for client concerns related to risk management. Communicating progress and expectations, escalate problems for awareness and/or resolution. Working with the Credit team to ensure timely credit decisions for credit requests sourced via the Business Development Team. Reviewing of external market for identification of emerging risks and providing these results to key internal stakeholders for consideration. Maintaining broad understanding of payment scheme obligations and related licensing requirements to ensure prospective client compliance. QualificationsWhat you’ll bringYou’ve got the ability to think critically and to solve complex problems. You’ve got excellent communication and an eye for detail. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are keen to contribute to a dynamic team.To succeed in this role, you’ll have:5+ Years risk management experience that includes the core competencies of credit, compliance and operational risk. Sound understanding of credit analysis techniques. Good general knowledge of relevant APRA prudential standards. Sound understanding of loan security documentation. Understanding of payment products, credit card risk management and data analytics.
