JOB TITTLE: Linguist AnnotatorLOCATION: Remote (Worldwide)EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full TimeJOB SUMMARY: We are looking for an experienced Linguistic Annotator to lead high -stakes language data annotation. In this role, you will apply advanced linguistic expertise to create, curate, and validate training data that teaches AI models to understand and generate human language with nuance, accuracy, and cultural sensitivity.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform complex linguistic annotation tasks across multiple layers including syntax. Annotate and label text, audio, or multimodal data according to detailed guidelines. Conduct error analysis on model outputs to identify systematic linguistics failures and recommend annotation improvements.Handle sensitive or specialized content requiring domain expertise (legal, medical, technical, etc.) with appropriate confidentiality and care.Develop, refine, and maintain and comprehensive annotation guidelines that clearly document decision rules, edge cases, and quality standards.Collaborate with computational Linguists and ML Engineers.Maintain a high productivity and quality standards.Ensure data confidentiality and compliance with privacy policies. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, English or a relating field. Minimum 2 years’ experience in Linguistic Annotation or data language data operations or computational linguistics roles. Experience developing annotation guidelines and schemas from scratch. Proven track record of working on large scale annotation projects for NLP applications. Familiar with quality assurance processes, including inter annotator agreement calculation and analysis. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
