Our teams are collaborative, vibrant, and fast-growing, and all team members are empowered with the freedom to influence our products and technology.Are you curious, innovative, and passionate?Do you take ownership, embrace challenges, and love problem-solving?Were looking for a Senior Linux System Engineer who will enable us to build industry disruptive tech products and revolutionize the way our customers use technology.You want toInstall new systems (bare metal and virtual machines), rebuild existing systems and configure hardware with a focus on infrastructure as code (IaC) and automationDevelop and maintain configuration management toolsContribute to and maintain system standardsWork closely with Software Engineers to develop CI/CD pipelinesResearch and recommend innovative and automated approaches for system administration tasksManage security on the systems platformPerform and ensure daily automated backup operations are carried outApply operating system patches and upgrades on a regular basisPerform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planningMake recommendations for future upgradesYou haveBS Computer Science degree or equivalent industry experience5 years of Linux System Administration skillsetConfiguration management experience (Cfengine, Puppet, Ansible, etc)Big data and supporting systems experience (Cassandra, Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, Flink, RabbitMQ)Container and Container Orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes)Experience running hybrid environment of on-premises and cloud servicesWilling to learn attitude, self disciplined, reliable and strong accountability personality traitsWilling to work onsite in auckland new zealand, monday - friday 8am - 5pm Work pass will not be provided
