As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be responsible for providing skilled clinical assistance to the nursing and medical teams. The successful candidate will participate in the assessment of patient care needs and implement and maintain the agreed standards of care. Further assisting with both patient and non-patient manual handling, cleaning duties and waste disposal, re-stocking and ensuring the ward is tidy. Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssisting in the provision of care to patients so as to ensure their comfort/safety needs are identified, whilst ensuring cultural and religious beliefs are taken into consideration.
Reporting to nurses any problems arising out of conversations with patients and acting as the patient advocate at all times. Report patient’s condition when required and record observations of temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate, pulse oximetry, urinalysis, blood sugars, weight and height. Preparing dressing/procedures under the direction of the clinical team and for which instruction has been given Assisting nursing and medical staff when required with different procedures with supervision and competency.
