Job OverviewLegal Administrative Specialist sought for a fast paced civil defense litigation office in Lancaster Pa. This full-time position offers flexibility and a wide variety of opportunities to work on a broad spectrum of litigated matters in a collegial atmosphere. Responsibilities include the provision of administrative support to our attorneys and the performance of substantive tasks on individual matters, to include background and social media investigations.The objective of this position is to execute the tasks needed to advance the litigation process for the firm’s clients including:The filing and service of pleadings and discoveryElectronically profiling incoming communications, legal documents, and file contents to applicable folders for each caseFacilitating payment of vendor billsCalendaring deadlines and action dates in our attorneys’ schedulesScheduling depositions and appointmentsOther opportunities for a wide variety of litigation support tasks abound long-term, including working with AI programs and legal record review and analysis. Although prior experience in the legal field is desired, it is not required to effectively learn and perform this position. More important for success and happiness in this position is that the candidate have a very strong technological proficiency, excellent organizational skills, the preference to be kept busy and the ability to work well with others. Full benefits and an hourly pay commensurate with proven skill sets between $17.00 and $28.00.Daily Administrative DutiesProvide executive administrative support to attorneys, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings.Draft and prepare legal documents, correspondence, and reports with attention to detail and accuracy.Manage case files using document management systems, ensuring all records are organized and easily accessible.Assist in legal case management by tracking deadlines, filing documents with courts, and maintaining communication with clients.Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when communicating with clients, witnesses, and other legal professionals.Support project management initiatives by coordinating tasks and timelines related to ongoing cases.Perform clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and maintaining office supplies.RequirementsExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.Familiarity with environmental law is a plus but not mandatory.High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.High School Degree, some college experience preferred or equivalent work experienceIf you are passionate about supporting the legal field and possess the necessary skills to excel in this role, we encourage you to apply.Job Type: Full-timePay: $17.00 - $28.00 per hourExpected hours: 35 – 45 per weekBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible scheduleFree parkingHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceWork from homeSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayShift availability:Day Shift (Preferred)Ability to Commute:Lancaster, PA 17601 (Required)Work Location: Hybrid remote in Lancaster, PA 17601
