The firm values systematic and decisive approaches to offer exceptional legal services. Role Description:This is a full-time, on-site role for a Litigation Secretary, based in Bellville. The Litigation Secretary will handle day-to-day tasks such as saving/soft-copy filing of all pleadings, notices and correspondence utilising OneDrive, typing of correspondence and notices, maintaining case files (both hard-copy and soft-copy), scheduling meetings and court appointments, and providing support to attorneys in litigation cases. Additional duties include ensuring the seamless organization of legal processes and assisting with administrative requirements related to court proceedings. Responsibilities:Saving/soft-copy filing of all pleadings, notices and correspondence utilising OneDrive;Copy typing of documents;Typing, formatting and collating of correspondence and notices;Incorporating amendments to documents and verifying that the amendments have been effected correctly;Preparing resource, counsel and client files;Prompt time capturing;Assisting with general office management and personnel administration related to the practice;Administrating and organising professionals' practices (online diary management, answering telephone calls and tracking messages in the absence of team members);Ad hoc duties as required. Candidate requirements:3+ years experience as a litigation / legal secretary in a litigation department;Matric essential;Full working knowledge of all MS packages (specifically OneDrive) - candidate must be computer literate;Knowledge of Court Online and CaseLines;Essential to be able to multi-task and prioritize a large workload;High attention to detail;Good interpersonal skills;Maintain high standards of confidentiality;Honest, reliable and punctual;Excellent time management skills.
