To succeed in this role you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
Providing timely responses to client questions and manages client expectationsMaintaining, monitoring and reconciling General Ledger accountsReconciliation of bank balances and credit card transactions as neededProcessing of sales and purchase invoicesRecording ad hoc adjusting entries on a regular basis Identifying issues and errors, investigating discrepancies, and supporting in resolutionsSales tax recording and filingsPreparing the month end in a timely mannerProviding coverage for colleagues as needed Contributing to innovation, which may include initiating process improvement, documenting new or updated procedures, developing standardized templates and collaborating with the larger team on such initiatives.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR*Accounting/business diploma/certificate or equivalent work experienceExperience at a Canadian accounting firm would be an assetYou’re skilled in learning new accounting programs and systemsYou have strong organizational skills and an ability to multi-task competing prioritiesYou have a passion for excellent client servicesYou have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with others towards a common goal we recognize that the best person for the job may not tick all these boxes.
