Come and consider a career as a Local Area Coordinator (LAC) based in Maryborough QLDWe are looking for a committed and passionate individual to join our team, based in Maryborough QLD.In this position, you will be responsible for assisting people with disability, their families, and their carers to build and pursue their goal to live their best life, exercise choice and control, and engage with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and customer service abilities and have a genuine passion for making a positive impact in the local community. If you are dedicated to upholding the core values and thrive in a diverse team environment, we would love to hear from you!You Will Be Responsible ForConnecting people with disabilities to supports within the local community.Collaborating with people with a disability to assess their eligibility for supports through a NDIS plan.Guide participants in accessing and effectively using the supports and services detailed in their NDIS plans.Assist participants to understand and use the supports in their NDIS plan, ensure the plan is working well, and support participants apply for changes to their plan. Meeting identified contractual KPIs.What We Need From YouDemonstrated relevant experience and or lived experience Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional, person-centred customer service, ensuring positive outcomes and high levels of satisfaction.Strong administrative experience – proficient computer skillsDemonstrated ability to thrive within a performance-driven environment.Strong understanding of the local community and the opportunities available for social and economic participation for people with disabilities.Demonstrated ability to thrive within a performance-driven environment.Currently possess or be eligible to obtain a valid Working with Children Card and/or Vulnerable People Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, along with successful completion of NDIA entry-level checks.Be rewarded for your success Performance Is Part Of Our Culture As Is Flexible Working And Variety.
