Localization Engineer

Responsibilities● Manage end-to-end localization workflows from source code analysis and internationalizationassessment to final multilingual delivery.● Develop and maintain localization automation tools to streamline translation processes andreduce manual overhead.● Integrate AI and machine learning technologies into localization workflows, utilizing promptengineering and MT optimization for enhanced content quality.● Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure internationalization best practices are implementedduring development cycles.● Optimize Translation Management Systems (Phrase TMS, Crowdin) through API integrations,custom workflows, and automated quality checks.● Maintain and enhance multilingual assets including terminology databases, translation memories,and linguistic resources.● Conduct technical localization testing including pseudo-localization, UI validation, andcross-platform compatibility testing.● Coordinate with language service providers to ensure technical requirements and qualitystandards are met.Key QualificationsWe are looking for the following qualifications and skills:● A proven ability to execute established localization workflows with technical precision, accuracy,and strong independence.● AI and Machine Learning Familiarity: Proficiency using AI tools (like ChatGPT, Bard, or otherNatural Language Processing systems) for multilingual content production. Bonus points forexperience fine-tuning or training Machine Translation engines and working with parallel corporaor linguistic datasets.● Programming proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Java for localization automation and tooldevelopment.● Proficiency with version control systems.● Translation Management Systems expertise with Phrase TMS and Crowdin (required).● Strong English language skills (both oral and written) and a native speaker of another language is a must.
