Manufacturing Engineer Sr.

OverviewYou will be a Manufacturing Engineer for our Precision Fires Manufacturing Engineering team, supporting the Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) and Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System Extended Range programs in Grand Prairie, TX. Our team is responsible for ensuring the successful production of complex systems, and we're looking for a highly skilled and collaborative individual to join our team. What You Will Be DoingAs a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for developing or maturing manufacturing readiness assessments, creating manufacturing plans, and conducting make or buy analyses to support the production of GMLRS and GMLRS Extended Range systems.

You will also be responsible for presenting at design and manufacturing reviews, transitioning new or revised designs from development to production, and identifying risks to production and implementing mitigation plans.

Your Responsibilities Will Include Developing or maturing manufacturing readiness assessments and creating manufacturing plans Conducting make or buy analyses and presenting at design and manufacturing reviews Transitioning new or revised designs from development to production Identifying risks to production and implementing mitigation plans Leading manufacturing process line validation activities and driving cost reduction initiatives to closure Traveling to various manufacturing facilities, including suppliers and other Lockheed sites, to support testing and hardware or tooling related issues Evaluating mechanical designs and processes to provide manufacturing feedback and ensure affordable and manufacturable designs Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, quality engineering, and production planning and control, to ensure successful production outcomes Building positive relationships with suppliers, make sites, and other stakeholders to ensure successful production outcomesWhy Join UsWe're looking for a highly skilled and collaborative Manufacturing Engineer to join our team.
