The logistics assistant manages and optimizes delivery routes and schedules and addresses logistics issues and requests daily.About The Role: Providing exceptional logistical support and solutions coordination.ResponsibilitiesReview schedule requisitions, contents of truck, running times, distances, availability and other pertinent information to establish schedule parametersDesign new or modify existing schedules using computer software or other methodsIncorporate factors such as peak travel periods, holidays, special events, and construction into the route plan, with emphasis on time and cost efficiencyAssign personnel to equipment and routes and schedule work shiftsCompile equipment records, including hours in service, distances, maintenance, repairs required and other data, to produce operating reportsCompile detailed worksheets and specifications from customer's orderCoordinate with the production team to ensure alignment and efficiencyQualificationsSkills and ExpertiseGrade 12 or equivalent Experience with MS Office suite is a mustAbility to perform in a fast-paced environmentExceptional customer service skillsAbility to work under pressureERP experience and Feed industry experience is an asset Expectation From The RoleAbility to Identify opportunities for improvementExceptional attention to detailPositive work ethic and attitudeWillingness and ability to learnStrong team and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated – able to work independently with minimal supervisionWorking every other Saturday and a shift on-call is a mustFully onsiteWhy you Will Love Working with UsGlobal BenefitsBe part of our sustainable mission with opportunities to grow within Nutreco, Skretting, Trouw Nutrition and the broader SHV groupEmbrace our culture of diversity and inclusion, where we respect and value everyone Local BenefitsRobust pension plan with employer matching that begins on Day 1!
