With a focus on excellence and a passion for innovation, we strive to deliver unparalleled service and quality craftsmanship in every project we undertake.Reports to: Logistics ManagerPosition Overview:1- Shipment Planning & CoordinationOrganize and manage the transportation of lighting materials, including LEDs, fixtures, controls, and components, to ensure timely delivery to project sites.Coordinate with project managers to plan shipments according to project schedules, ensuring alignment with installation timelines and client requirements.Work with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs agents to manage imports and exports and comply with international shipping regulations.2- Inventory & Warehouse ManagementOversee inventory levels of critical lighting components, maintaining optimal stock levels to prevent project delays.Coordinate with warehouse teams for accurate storage, labeling, and retrieval of materials, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.Implement efficient warehousing practices to streamline the movement and tracking of goods, including lighting components that may have special storage needs.3- Vendor & Carrier ManagementDevelop strong relationships with logistics providers and negotiate favorable rates for transportation and warehousing services.Evaluate carrier performance regularly based on delivery reliability, cost, and service quality, maintaining a network of reliable logistics partners.Manage third-party logistics (3PL) providers as necessary to handle warehousing or distribution needs.4- Customs & Regulatory ComplianceEnsure that all shipments comply with applicable import/export regulations, tariffs, and documentation requirements.Stay informed about industry standards and regulations (such as UL and CE for lighting components) and ensure that shipped goods meet these standards.Manage customs documentation, tariffs, and duties, ensuring accuracy in cross-border shipments to prevent delays.5- Cost Management & BudgetingTrack and manage logistics costs, identifying opportunities to reduce expenses while maintaining service quality.Prepare cost analysis for logistics activities, monitor spending within the budget, and report on cost-saving initiatives.6- Project CoordinationAct as the logistics point of contact for project teams, providing updates on delivery schedules and resolving any issues that may impact project timelines.Collaborate with procurement and project management teams to align material deliveries with project milestones, proactively managing any logistical risks.7- Data Management & ReportingMaintain accurate records of shipments and supplier information in logistics software or ERP systems.Generate regular reports on logistics metrics, including lead times, delivery accuracy, and cost efficiencies, to support data-driven decision-making.Qualifications:Educational Qualifications:1. Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.2. Preferred: A diploma or certification in logistics or transportation management for candidates with equivalent experience.Professional CertificationsCertifications that demonstrate technical expertise are advantageous:1. Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) or Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) by MSSC.2. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt for process optimization.3. Freight Broker Certification (if dealing with carrier management).4. Familiarity with international shipping regulations like Incoterms.Experience1. 3–5 Years of experience in logistics coordination, supply chain management, or a similar role, preferably in industries like construction, manufacturing, or specialized sectors like lighting or electronics.2. Demonstrated experience in:Shipment planning and scheduling for project-driven supply chains.Managing relationships with freight forwarders and 3PL providers.Inventory control and warehousing of specialized goods, such as fragile or regulated components.Ensuring compliance with customs and regulatory requirements for international shipments.3. Familiarity with ERP or logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics 365).
