In Belgium, Logent manages the logistics operations that support Volvo Cars Ghent, ensuring smooth material handling, sequencing, and just-in-time deliveries.Function OverviewThe Logistics Engineer plays a central role in analyzing, designing, and improving logistics processes within Logent’s Belgian operations. The position ensures optimal efficiency, cost control, and alignment with customer and internal performance targets.Key Responsibilities Perform detailed process analyses and develop data-driven improvement proposals. Design warehouse layouts, storage systems, and internal material flows. Lead continuous improvement projects focused on efficiency and cost optimization. Support operational teams during process implementation and standardization. Conduct time studies, capacity analyses, and KPI reporting. Contribute to the setup of new projects and customer implementations. Maintain up-to-date process documentation and engineering standards.Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent. 3–5 years of relevant experience in logistics or process engineering. Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Power BI); experience with WMS/ERP systems preferred. Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
