Job ID: R46135Logistics LeadPrimary Location: Monterrey, Nuevo Leon MexicoPosition SummaryThe Logistics Lead is responsible for ensuring effective management of the customer's supply chain information using the internal Transportation Management System. This role is typically assigned to a region, mode, business unit or small account to assist in the delegation of operational tasks. This person is accountable for achieving operational efficiency and driving continuous improvement within their area of responsibility as well as within their team. The incumbent in this role will champion and use the enterprise project-based delivery model to identify, manage, and drive projects to conclusion within their team.Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:Ensure all arrangements are made for the execution of shipments through designated area of responsibilityMentor and support lower-level logistics peers by sharing expertise and best practicesCreate and document standard operating processesManage complex exceptions and drive problem solving to prevent the reoccurrence of problems and improve processesAssist in the facilitation of cross training within assigned teamResponsible for meeting operational targets within a particular region, mode, business unit, or small accountAct as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, carriers, and vendors by leading calls, meetings, and internal systems trainings and addressing concernsUtilize analytical practices to identify and solve problemsBuild and present intermediate to complex business cases related to how customers can achieve ROICollaborate with internal service teams to execute strategies that align with customer objectives and CHR's business goalsApply the enterprise project-based delivery model in day-to-day workLead small sized operations-focused continuous improvement projects utilizing the enterprise project-based delivery modelConduct CHR systems training for external customer representatives to ensure effective utilization of CHR's servicesLead team efforts in reconciliation of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reportsOther duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirementsQualificationsRequired:High School Diploma and/or GEDMinimum 6 years of experience in Supply Chain, Transportation, and/or LogisticsMinimum 3 years of prior experience working with and troubleshooting information systemsAbility to work flexible schedule on occasion, including overtime hours when requestedAbility to travel up to 10% (domestic and/or international)Fluent in English and SpanishPreferred:Bachelor's degree from accredited college or universityDemonstrated high level of proactivity and a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer experienceProficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programsPrior experience creating and delivering presentations to senior level managementAbility to gather, translate, and act upon voice of customerAbility to direct activities of small work groupAbility to act as a subject matter expertDemonstrated expertise in critical thinking, data analysis, and efficient, accurate problem-solvingAbility to proactively identify patterns in operations and dataAbility to work in a team oriented and fast-paced environmentAbility to utilize project management skills to successfully complete various sized projectsComposure and poise in a customer-centric environmentHighly adaptable to ambiguous and changing environmentsDemonstrated commitment to continuous improvement with prior experience in identifying inefficiencies, and implementing process improvementsAbility to motivate and encourage change, able to get positive results in a very large, dispersed organizationValues a diverse and inclusive work environmentCH Robinson is an equal opportunity employer.
