Logistics Manager

Position Responsible for the execution of all material handling activities in the most cost effective and efficient methods possible. Establish excellent relationships with all manufacturing partners across the site in addition to functional peers within the supply chain team to ensure clear understanding of business performance goals and objectives.High level of focus on all area of safety, people, quality, responsiveness, and cost. Ultimately responsible for timely delivery of parts to all plant assembly areas with zero disruption.Develop business plans which deliver year-on-year performance efficiencies through a Continuous Improvement culture.Develop and provide leadership for a high-performance team and the growth of talent.Position ResponsibilitiesResponsible for set up and run several Warehousing facilities to serve Manufacturing need: system, infrastructure, personnel.Take a lead role in the PIV (Pedestrian and Industrial Vehicle) safety process.Identify and eliminate high risk activities using risk reduction tools, such as PFMEA, risk assessments, etc.Ensure that all programs meet the three measures of a successful vehicle launch: on time, excellent quality, and meeting and/or exceeding program financial targets.Select, develop, and train Warehousing team members to effectively execute operations to achieve business goals and targets.Establish people development as a core value to develop future leaders to achieve sustainable and growth.Empower and support teams to improve their work environment and eliminate any constraints.Work with Manufacturing partners to develop and implement strategies to increase value added activities within manufacturing. Responsible for all aspects of the import process.Position RequirementsMinimum 10 years experience in Manufacturing material & spare part logistics, Warehousing and Material Handling for high volume and complex Manufacturing, preferably in Automobile in which minimum 5 years in management position. Extensive knowledge and experience in SAP and Warehouse Management SystemExperienced in set up phase of Warehousing and Logistics, developing and implementing successful Lean Material Systems and Operational Excellence.Highly motivated, self-starter, and active learner with strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to perform successfully in multi-national relationships.Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).Understand and have knowledge of the export and import process.Education: bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering or Business at a minimum
