Currently, more than 60 consultants work at the EMA, Astellas, GSK, Unilever, Corbion, MSD, Organon, Aspen and many more!We are looking for an Logistics Operations Specialist for our Akkodis team, at our client in Rotterdam.Job summaryWe are searching for a Logistics Specialist to manage third party logistics within the Benelux. Key objective is to deliver our customers with the right service level at the best possible cost. Activities include following up on key performance metrics, identifying and solving issues in the total supply chain and managing continuous improvement projects to improve service, productivity and our carbon footprint. The Logistic Specialist is the linking pin between the 3PL and Unilever, representing the 3PL within Unilever and Unilever towards the 3PL. It is therefore important to build relationships with both internal stakeholders and the 3PL.Main tasksOversee 3PL performance, capacity planning, carbon footprint management, and contract execution.Own all local operational logistics process flows and ensure seamless execution.Validate and approve 3PL invoices with accuracy.Monitor, analyze, and report on logistics KPIs.Lead and collaborate on continuous improvement projects with our 3PL partners.Act as the go-to person for operational logistics escalations and solutions.Partner with the Customer Excellence team to resolve structural and recurring issues.Support central supply chain hubs on transport, invoicing, and related processes.Coordinate pallet management with 3PL and external suppliers.Manage stock counts, reconciliations, and inventory accuracy.Provide logistics expertise and strategic advice to support business needs.Balance logistics capabilities with customer service requirements to optimize outcomes.Foster strong relationships with 3PL hauliers and warehouse partners to ensure smooth collaboration.Execute contingency and business continuity processes effectively.QualificationsSolid knowledge of logistics operations, including warehousing, distribution, and customer service flows.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is a plus.Strong project management skills and the ability to drive initiatives forward.Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and align stakeholders.Sharp business sense with a proactive, action-oriented mindset.Customer-centric approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with external suppliers and 3PL providers.
