The ideal candidate isdetail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, regulated environmentAbout This RolePlan, execute, and track all inbound and outbound shipmentsManage delivery timelines and proactively flag any delaysEnsure packaging meets compliance for fragile and sensitive hardwareMaintain shipment logs, documentation records, and cost reportsCoordinate closely with procurement and production on shipment schedulingHandle discrepancy resolution and insurance claims (where relevant)Interface with customs brokers and logistics providers for timely clearancePrepare shipping documentation and ensure compliance for export/importMust Haves5+ years of logistics experience in aerospace, defense, or high-value hardwareExpert-level knowledge of shipping documentation and IncotermsHands-on experience with customs regulations in UAE, Europe, and the USFamiliarity with freight classification, HTS codes, CoO, dual-use or export controlDetail-oriented, safety-focused, proactive communicator with strong discipline and willingness to learnStrong stakeholder and vendor coordination skillsNice To HavesUnderstanding of ITAR, EAR, or UAE export control equivalentsFamiliarity with space industry logistics or similar regulated goodsExposure to ERP systems like NetSuite for ASN or shipping coordinationAbility to evaluate and improve freight vendor performanceFamiliarity with UAE warehouse regulatory normsOrbitworks’ mission is to make space simple for organizations that want to deploy physical and virtual missions to space.
