Extremely unique role available - Logistics/Forklift based on a large construction siteBe part of one of Queenstown’s largest construction projects right nowOpportunity to lead a small team whilst also being hands-onAbout the RoleWe are currently looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our team based in beautiful Queenstown. This role is extremely unique and is an opportunity to apply your logistics and material handling skills and knowledge into the construction industry. You will be operating a Forklift on a large construction site based near Queenstown Airport. You will be responsible for managing lots of deliveries to and from site, as well as managing the crane time amongst the different contractors so you must be organised. As well as the planning side of this role, you will physically be operating the forklift yourself onto loading platforms on each level of this site, meaning you need to be very skilled in your forklift abilities and have good attention to detail. We are also looking for somebody who can manage a small but growing team on site. Please note this will be Monday to Friday day shifts and it is a permanent role.Duties Will IncludeOperating a JLG Forklift onto multiple loading platformsManaging multiple deliveries dailyLeading a small team of labourers on siteManaging crane time and bookings for each contractor on siteChecking reference numbers against products and ensuring you have the correct products and quantitiesReceiving orders and preparing documentation using a computerThis will be a physical role so you must be physically fitDevanning large containersSkills and ExperienceYou must have a valid Forklift license and F endorsement, with minimum 2 years experienceExperience in people management would be beneficialExperience in materials handling and/or logistics planningYou must be computer literate as you will be preparing documentationYou must be Health and Safety focusedGood communication and be able to work alone and in a small teamThorough with good attention to detailPhysically fit as this role is physically demandingSelf-motivated and proactiveInterested in learning new thingsKeen attitude to learn and get involvedAble to pass a pre-employment drug testAbout the CompanyWith 25 years of experience in the construction industry, our client is a trusted developer known for high-quality products.
