Job Description

PurposeThe Admissions Specialist plays a key role in supporting the admissions process by providing administrative assistance to both admissions' leadership and representatives. This position is dedicated to delivering an exceptional enrollment experience for prospective students and ensuring a smooth transition into the institution. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Those that must be performed with or without an ADA Accommodation)Collaborate across departments—including Admissions, Financial Aid, Enrollment, and Education to support a seamless and successful student enrollment experience. Partner closely with Admissions Leadership and Representatives to ensure timely and accurate communication regarding student progress and enrollment status.

Assist in the creation and review of student degree plans related to transfer credits from other colleges. Liaise with Education Faculty to gather and report on students’ academic performance and attendance records. Generate and distribute attendance reports multiple times per week to keep Admissions Representatives informed of their students’ engagement and progress. Assist in resolving escalated enrollment issues by working collaboratively with students, faculty, and relevant departments to reach satisfactory outcomes. Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Admissions team, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of student applications and documentation.

Manage and maintain student records within the Salesforce CRM, including contact updates, application distribution, and reassignment of student accounts. Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and periodic status reports to Admissions leadership and staff to support data-driven decision-making. Utilize data and student information systems to generate reports that identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improving student success. Engage with prospective students through one-on-one interactions and group sessions to share important information and resources. Stay current with and ensure adherence to all compliance standards, including accrediting body requirements and applicable federal, state, and local regulations affecting the Admissions department.

Education And/or ExperienceBachelor's degree preferred, but will look at combination of education and experience2+ years’ experience within a Higher Education enrollment/academic environmentPrevious experience working within Higher Education in the capacity of Administration, Student Advising or other student facing positions. Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsN/AComputer Skills: (Those that must be performed with or without an ADA Accommodation)Intermediate to advanced knowledge/understanding of Microsoft Office applications; Excel, Word, Loop, etc…Intermediate knowledge of Salesforce and/or other comparable CRMZoom and/or Microsoft TeamsEnvironmental Factors are those that are required and performed with or without an accommodation.
