All applicant must go to www.royalbeachclubatparadiseisland.com/career to apply in order to be considered.Position Summary:The Lounge Technician is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, repair, inspection and troubleshooting of all entertainment audio and video equipment and lighting systems. This position supports the Entertainment Manager to ensure equipment is set up correctly and safe for Entertainers, Guests, and Team Members. This role also assists Human Resources with internal events, for example, movie nights, karaoke events, parties, and more. This position requires excellent Guest and Team Member engagement, professional appearance, physicalfitness, skill at working with sound and video equipment, knowledge of products and services.All duties and responsibilities are performed following Companyâs Brand Standards, the Royal Way philosophy, policies, and SOPs, public health, safety, security, and environmental guidelines.This Job Description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties performed by the Team Member occupying this position. The nature of this job requires daily interactions with internal and external stakeholders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Sets up and operate equipment and programmed background music to ensure seamless entertainment experiences.Repairs, inspects, troubleshoots, and resolves all entertainment audio, video, and lighting systems.Conducts daily rounds to check audio levels across the Destination. Inspects, updates, maintains the equipment uphold optimal performance standards. Works closely with Electricians to ensure safe operations.Supports the repair and return procedure for entertainment equipment, ensuring that it is tested, inventoried, and either installed or placed in storage.Participates in the set up and break down, assembly and disassembly of equipment for functions including, but not limited to, groups, charters, promotional, incentive, presentations, internal events, and activities.Inspects the equipment storage to ensure the area has no water leaks and has the required HVAC airflow to protect the equipment from getting damaged. Reports any concerns and/or damages to the Supervisor.Ensures all entertainment equipment racks are properly labeled with information including, but not limited to, power supply, source, and location information.Maintains expert knowledge of the audio and video systems on the Destination including streaming music system and cable television in public areas. Troubleshoots issues with guidance from the Supervisor, IT, Technical Team.Collaborates with performers and event planners to ensure smooth execution of entertainment events.Participates in welcome and farewell activities at the arrivals, directs the Guests to the venues or attractions.Assists with entertainment equipment set up for tournaments and events. Attends mandatory rehearsals as required.Acts professionally and always displays a positive attitude while engaging with Guests, Visitors, and Team Members.Maintains cleanliness and integrity of the assigned workstation.Participates in trainings and meetings. Adheres to a Company confidentiality agreement.Acknowledges and greets Guests, Visitors, and Team Members in public spaces with a warm, friendly greeting.Ensures personal appearance, personal hygiene, and uniform appearance are always by Company policy. Maintains a safe and sanitary environment for Guests and fellow Team Members. Financial Responsibilities:Returns items and equipment to a storage area at the end of Call Day.Ensures that accurate up-to-date records and an inventory of all sound and light related equipment are logged.Determines if equipment requires replacement or repair and informs the Supervisor. Qualifications:A High School Diploma or basic education equivalency required.Certificate in technical theater, sound, lights, A/V is preferred.Prior experience in stage, technical theatre and production (i.e. electrical, technical, light and sound is preferred).Good working knowledge of mixing consoles, lighting consoles and their various programs. Should be able to operate outboard gear such as graphic and parametric equalizers, gates, compressors, limiters, and effects units.Proficient in diagnosing and resolving issues pertaining to cable television and streaming audio systems, demonstrating a comprehensive skill set in technical troubleshooting within the multimedia domain.Ability to set up microphones, screens, speakers and other AV equipment.Ability to work independently and well with others. Ability to analyze and evaluate the need for technical support.Knowledge of customer service needs assessment, problem resolution, and the ability to meet quality standards. Language Requirements:Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly, and cordially with Guests, Team Members, Contractors, and Vendors.Ability to read and write English, to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from Guests, Managers, and Team Members. Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste and smell. The Team Member must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.All Destination Team Members must be physically able to participate in emergency life-saving procedures and drills. Full use/range of motion of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal, and hearing abilities are required to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency. Work Environment:Destination outdoor environment where high temperature, precipitation, and humid temperatures are experienced.While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is required to work outdoors in extremely humid and hot conditions for an extended period of time.This is a position where duties are exercised outdoors, walking in sand, and uneven surfaces.
