Lunit's recent and forthcoming publications illustrate the tremendous capabilities of our technology, and the opportunity ahead to change research and clinical practiceWe are seeking a talented and experienced Director/Team Leader, Program Management Office (PMO) to spearhead our PMO function at Lunit Oncology.

This pivotal leadership role will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and optimizing PMO practices that drive operational excellence across our AI-powered oncology portfolio. As a key leader based in our Seoul HQ office, the Director will report directly to the Global VP of Product Management and Marketing and will play an instrumental role in shaping the future of our organizationThe ideal candidate will build and scale effective PMO tools and processes tailored for Lunit Oncology, drive complex cross-functional programs involving multiple stakeholders and external partners, and ensure successful delivery of our AI-powered solutions.

This role requires demonstrated success in PMO leadership for medical devices or IVDs, strategic capabilities to facilitate program prioritization across the portfolio, broad understanding of AI-powered product development lifecycles, and exceptional leadership abilities to influence across organizational boundaries.

🚩 Roles & ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & PMO Team ManagementBuild, develop, and lead a high-performing program management team through coaching, mentoring, and professional developmentEstablish a comprehensive and tailored PMO framework including methodologies, best practices, governance structures, tools and systems, and resource allocation strategiesDrive portfolio prioritization to align projects and resources with organizational objectives and strategic imperativesPortfolio & Program ManagementOversee the entire portfolio of programs and projects, ensuring appropriate resource allocation, schedule tracking, risk management, and quality standardsDirect multiple concurrent programs, ensuring interdependencies are managed and benefits are realized to successfully deliver AI-powered solutionsEstablish portfolio and program reporting systems to provide executive leadership with visibility into project health status, risks, and performanceDevelop resource budgeting and scheduling processes for the PMO, ensuring projects deliver within approved budgets and schedulesDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery capabilities and operational efficiencyProcess & Methodology DevelopmentDesign, implement, and continuously refine PMO methodologies, templates, and toolsEstablish project governance frameworks, escalation procedures, and decision-making processes, including with external partnersDevelop and maintain project management standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirementsDrive technology adoption to enhance project visibility, resource management, and reporting capabilitiesRequirements🎯 QualificationsBachelor's degree in life sciences or related field; Master's degree preferred8+ years of professional experience with at least 3-5 years in PMO leadership rolesProven track record of building and leading successful PMO functions in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industriesDemonstrated experience managing complex, strategic portfolios in regulated environmentsExperience implementing both Agile and Waterfall methodologies at an organizational levelExceptional stakeholder management and English communication skills (written and verbal)Proven ability to influence at the executive level and drive organizational changeAdvanced proficiency in portfolio/project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite🏅 Preferred ExperiencesAdvanced degree (MS/PhD) in relevant fieldPMP certification or equivalent (PgMP, PfMP)Experience in oncology research or clinical trialsKnowledge of medical imaging and AI/ML applications in healthcareExperience with quality management systems and regulatory complianceFormal training or certification in leadership developmentAbility to navigate ambiguity and make decisions with incomplete informationCoaching and mentoring capabilities📝 How to Apply English CV or Resume (free format) 🏃‍♀️ Hiring ProcessDocument Screening → Written Screening → Competency-based Interview (Online) → Stakeholder Interview (In-person) → Culture-fit Interview → OnboardingThe Written Screening is a stage where the candidate will be submitting a questionnaire (in English) relevant to the position.
