Job Description

OverviewAre you a dedicated advocate for continuous improvement? Do you thrive on innovation and seek an exciting opportunity in manufacturing engineering? Join our Global Process Improvement team at Humacao, PR facilities where you will drive impactful improvement initiatives across all functional areas. In this role, you will champion process improvement activities by utilizing your knowledge of methodologies and change management. You will enhance cross-functional communication to foster a culture of continuous improvement on campus. Your efforts will eliminate waste and increase our overall effectiveness as we continue to define excellence within the window covering the manufacturing industry.

ResponsibilitiesDriving the adoption of Lutron Production System (LPS) pillars: Standard work, visual management / daily management strategies, 5S, process auditing, and problem solving at all levels of the organizationCollaborating with other Continuous Improvement Champions to support cross-functional and cross-facility initiativesDeveloping sustainable improvement capabilities at Lutron through coaching and educationAssisting the leadership team with establishing improvement goals, prioritizing improvement projects, and allocating improvement resourcesDeveloping and managing improvement projects and plans that span the plant functions including Production, Purchasing, Warehousing, Quality, etc.

Preparing and presenting improvement proposals to leadership with recommendations, including cost benefit analysis, risk mitigation, and action plansQuantifying expected and actual benefits of improvement projects through new and existing metricsSupporting daily plant operations through process, system, and technical supportQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.

00Minimum of 3 years of professional experience with 1 year in a Continuous Improvement roleExperience with Lean/Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Change Management tools & processes preferred Demonstrated success leading improvement projects and developing improvement resourcesWillingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time; domestic and international Complete fluency in English and Spanish in verbal, reading and writing.
