Director of Business Development Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 + CommissionSummary: My client is seeking a creative and driven professional to join their team as Director of Business Development. This role is focused on driving growth and nurturing client relationships. This company helps clients achieve their sustainability goals while maximizing savings and operational efficiency. They specialize in energy procurement, infrastructure solutions, and market intelligence. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who can advise clients on a wide range of sustainability and efficiency strategies. Key Responsibilities: The Director of Business Development will:

Build and maintain strong client partnerships, identifying new opportunities while supporting existing relationshipsAdvise clients on our full suite of energy solutions, including site selection, grid interconnection, infrastructure, generation and load optimization, behind-the-meter assets, renewable and energy storage purchases, energy procurement, and regulatory market insightsLead the entire sales process-from lead generation to deal closure-ensuring a seamless and high-quality client experienceServe as a trusted advisor on energy strategies and solutionsRepresent the company at industry events and client meetings to drive growth and visibilityStay current on market trends and competitive activity to inform strategy and enhance client value Key Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Energy Management, or a related field10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role-preferably in the energy sector10+ years of experience in large C&I power or gas procurement, advisory, or infrastructure5+ years of experience in or with the high-performance computing spaceProven track record of driving revenue growth and maintaining strong client relationshipsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence decision-makingDeep understanding of energy markets, products, and industry dynamicsPreferred Qualifications:

Master's degree (MBA or related field)Professional certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Certified Business Energy Professional (BEP)Experience with CRM platforms (e. g. , Salesforce) and sales automation toolsStrong analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends and develop strategic sales plansEstablished network within the energy industry and relevant professional associationsTravel: Willingness to travel 20-80% as needed to build relationships and pursue business opportunities
