The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for supporting the procurement of raw materials and coordinating procurement-related activities that directly contribute to the efficient operation and production at our Fresno, CA facility. Pay Range: $24. 00-$33. 00/ HourHours: 8: 00 AM to 5: 00 PMSchedule: Monday - FridayLocation:

Fresno, CAEssential Duties And ResponsibilitiesSupports the mission, values and vision of the companyMaintains the best interest of Lyons Magnus first and foremostReview and procure raw materials per required specifications for weekly productionPrepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price, obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute itemsPrepare purchase orders in an accurate and legible manner per accounting requirementsVerifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.

Manage procurement quantities in a cost-efficient manner in relation to usage demandAchieve an understanding of commodities and purchase strategiesAchieve an understanding of packaging and purchase strategiesMaintain a viable and competitive vendor baseMaintain a competitive transportation network to support logisticsAnalyze customer sales forecast scheduling raw ingredients and packagingCommunicate with Inventory Department in verification of raw material stock levelsInteract with QA regarding raw material specifications and usage approvalRequirementsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: Highly skilled in MS OfficeExcellent organizational oral / written and communication skillsAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to multi-task and handle changing priorities in a fast-paced office environment.

Self-motivated, ability to plan and act without need for instructionWilling to gain knowledge and assume additional responsibility for advancementEducation And/or ExperienceA minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain Logistics or related field. 2+ years’ experience within related field.
