M&A Associate – Childcare Roll-Up (Buy-Side)About the role We’re building a multi-site childcare platform and looking for a generalist M&A Associate to help us scale. You’ll work directly with the founder and own a broad mix of sourcing, analysis, execution, and post-close work across multiple deals at once.Ideal background: 2+ years in investment banking, strategy consulting, private equity, or corporate development.What you’ll doBuild and manage a deal pipeline across brokers, business-for-sale platforms, owner outreach, and other channels.Run outbound origination: identify targets, run campaigns (email, mail, groups/communities), and cultivate relationships with owners and brokers.Keep our CRM and deal funnel organized: log interactions, track stages, schedule calls, and generally make sure nothing falls through the cracks.Prepare deal summaries and financial analyses for each opportunity, including simple models, returns, and key risks.Support due diligence: coordinate information requests, organize data, refine models, and keep track of issues and follow-ups.Help with closing and transition: coordinate lenders and lawyers, organize documents, support licensing/insurance steps, and assist with basic integration and marketing tasks after close.You’re not just doing one narrow thing; you’re the person who keeps the entire process moving from first contact to post-close.What we’re looking forMust-haves2+ years in IB/consulting/PE/corp dev or similar analytical role.Strong financial modeling and Excel skills.Comfortable with outbound outreach (email, calls, building lists, following up).Very organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle many small moving pieces.High ownership and bias to action; you like taking a messy process and making it structured.Nice-to-havesExposure to multi-site services, education, healthcare, or childcare.Familiarity with SMB deal structures and working with lenders and attorneys.Experience using a CRM and basic sales/marketing tools.Role detailsLocation: Remote in the U.S. preferred (East/Central time zones a plus).Reports to: Founder.Compensation: Competitive base + performance-based bonus tied to deals.
