Job Description

This is a full-time Database Analyst position located in Columbus, MS. Salary Range $44. 68/HourUnion YesRelocation NoTravel PossiblePrimary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Monitors, collects, audits, and assembles data for management reports and briefings. Prepares management and statistical analysis products to provide systems, component, and equipment information, and ensures summary reports are designed to meet recurring management needs. Reviews data for significant trends, isolates, and identifies areas that need further study or investigation. Prepares studies, summaries, briefings, and presentations as required or requested. Collects and maintain the necessary data pertinent to the maintenance operation.

Assists maintenance in applying and interpreting maintenance data publications and reports. Analyzes automated IMDS/CAMS data for integrity, scheduling deviation data for aircraft or equipment. Reviews all documentation from outside sources for accuracy when used to produce reports. Prepares all weekly and monthly reports for outside agencies as required or requested. Example: (MLIR, RCS: AETC-LGM (M) 7501 (AETCI 21-105).

Analyze maintenance and flying performance data and provides the cause of any trends to management and scheduling functions. Develops annual and monthly attrition factors for weather, maintenance, supply, operations, and other variables into a total attrition factor. May be assigned as the alternate Data Base Manager. Performs tasks with minimum supervision. Practices good housekeeping and safety at all times. May be assigned additional duties, to include Building Custodian. Shall assist other personnel and work centers as directed. Must promote Company values, policies, and standards of conduct. Must be customer oriented and ensure professional coordination with base agencies.

Shall perform other duties assigned to include TDY and travel. Receives cross-utilization training (CUT) and is qualified to perform those tasks. Must be able to work day shift, night shift, or weekend duty as required. Qualifications And ExperienceThree years recent experience in aircraft maintenance statistical analysis. Completion of the Air Force Maintenance Analysis Technical School or equivalent is required. Must have attained at least a 5-level proficiency (2RO51) or equivalent experience. Completion of high school or the equivalent is required. The ability to read and interpret technical data is required.

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. An understanding of military terminology and procedures related to aircraft maintenance, supply status and aircraft status is desired. In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office is required. Formal courses in Microsoft Office programs are desired. Must have the capability to develop spreadsheets, databases, charts, graphs and presentations. Must be proficient in computer use and data entry. Must have good communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, base personnel and other Data Systems monitors to resolve technical problems with the IMDS/CAMS database.

Clarity of expression, both verbal and written, is required. Familiarity with LANS/WANS is desirable. May be required to work irregular hours in support of the IMDS/CAMS database.
