We're a flat team with a culture of high ownership, collaboration, and mentorship.Explore Ideogram 3.0, Canvas, and Character blog posts, and try Ideogram at ideogram.ai.The OpportunityAs a Machine Learning Research Intern (Summer 2026), you’ll join the small team that built Ideogram’s foundation models. You’ll push the frontier of visual generative models and ship ideas that reach millions of creators. You’ll work alongside researchers who trained our world-class text-to-image model and pushed the state of the art in image captioning, diffusion conditioning beyond text, and layout and typography.What We’re Looking ForCurrently pursuing a PhD or Master’s in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Graphics, Natural Language Processing, or a related field (exceptional undergraduates considered). Deep learning fundamentals in generative models; familiarity with Transformers and diffusion models. Ability to read research papers, translate ideas into high-quality code, and communicate results clearly to peers. Strong Python skills and proficiency in a major DL framework (JAX preferred; PyTorch experience welcome with willingness to learn JAX). Interest in the creative industry and image generation for design and passion for making research land in a real product. Prior publications, impactful open-source contributions, or strong project write-ups demonstrating research experience.
