Two Immediate Openings at our Gladstone YardWe are hiring for two key roles at our Gladstone yard: an Entry-Level Customer-Facing position and an Experienced Machine Operator.Reporting to the Yard Manager, you will join a dynamic team responsible for sorting, grading, purchasing, and processing scrap metal using various types of heavy equipment. These are full-time positions with an immediate start available.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeProvide a high level of service to all customersLoad and unload trucks, skip bins, and trailers using a forkliftOperate heavy machinery, including forklift (excavator, material handler, and other shear operator experience is a plus)Accurately grade and sort scrap metal materialsMaintain a safe and tidy site in compliance with all OH&S policies and environmental guidelinesTo Be Successful In This Opportunity, You Will HaveExceptional customer service skills with a passion for exceeding expectations.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamA can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and build new skills through trainingExcellent attendance, reliability, and attention to detail.For the Experienced Machine Operator: A valid Forklift license and significant operational experience are essential.
