MAG Welder

Job Location: Baba dogo, NairobiResponsibilities: 1. Welding Operations: o Set up machine parameters and operate MIG welding equipment. o Weld metal components together using MIG welding techniques. o Follow welding specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings. 2. Material Preparation and Handling: o Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, grinding, and positioning parts. o Ensure proper alignment and fit-up of materials to be welded. o Handle raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently. 3. Quality Control: o Inspect welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, and undercuts. o Perform routine quality checks using measuring tools and visual inspection. o Repair and rework defective welds as needed. 4. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: o Perform regular maintenance on welding equipment. o Troubleshoot and resolve issues with welding machines and tools. 5. Safety and Compliance: o Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines. o Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. o Maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents. 6. Documentation and Reporting: o Maintain records of welding work, including materials used and weld parameters. o Document any issues or defects encountered during the welding process. o Report production and quality data to supervisors. 7. Collaboration and Communication: o Work with other team members to optimize the welding process. o Communicate effectively with supervisors and quality control personnel. o Assist in training new welders and providing guidance on best practices. o Perform any other assignment given by the supervisor.Requirements and Skills• 2 years of professional MIG welding.• Artisan Grade III in welding from NITA.• Working knowledge of industry tool and equipment• Able to read blueprints• Proficient in basic math
