Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Magento Developer located in Lahore. The Magento Developer will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development tasks. Daily tasks include developing and maintaining e-commerce websites, implementing features using object-oriented programming, and ensuring seamless integration with various systems. The ideal candidate will collaborate with other team members to deliver high-quality e-commerce solutions.Job SpecificationEducation & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with 4–5 years of hands-on experience in Magento development or similar roles.Programming Expertise: Strong command of PHP, with working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bash, and Python considered a plus.Server & Web Stack Proficiency: Advanced understanding of Linux environments (Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS) and web technologies such as Apache, Nginx, Varnish, Memcache, MySQL, MariaDB, APC, and PHP-FPM.Magento 2.x Mastery: Proven experience with Magento 2.x architecture, including custom module development, performance optimization, and complex troubleshooting.PHP & MySQL Excellence: Deep expertise in PHP and MySQL for building, optimizing, and maintaining robust Magento systems.Elasticsearch / Opensearch: Skilled in installation, configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting Elasticsearch for seamless Magento performance.Database Management: Proficient in managing complex database synchronization, query optimization, and overall performance enhancement.Magento API Integrations: Strong experience in Magento APIs for system integrations, custom module development, and third-party interactions.Security Practices: Comprehensive understanding of Magento security standards, including patch management, vulnerability mitigation, and compliance best practices.Performance Optimization: Hands-on experience with Redis, Varnish, Cloudflare, and other CDNs to improve caching, site speed, and scalability.Migration & Upgrades: Proven success in managing Magento 1.x to 2.x migrations, covering module/theme compatibility, data transfer, and rollback strategies.Debugging & Problem Solving: Advanced skills in identifying and resolving application-level bugs, performance bottlenecks, and integration challenges.Cloud & DevOps: Familiar with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCE, etc.) and experienced in maintaining 24/7 production environments for PaaS/cloud platforms.Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication, customer-facing interaction, and cross-functional teamwork abilities.Leadership & Process Management: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to define, document, and enforce technical and development processes.What You’ll Be Doing 1. Advanced Magento TroubleshootingResolve Magento 2.x upgrade, module conflict, and installation issues.Fix PHP version mismatches, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, and database synchronization errors.2. Performance OptimizationImprove site speed through caching, database query tuning, and CDN integration.Optimize database and search configurations for better scalability and responsiveness.Implement security hardening and ensure systems are patched and up to date.3. Architecture & CustomizationDebug and resolve issues in custom modules, API integrations, and theme/layout components.Ensure smooth operation and compatibility across custom builds and frontend implementations.4. Migration & UpgradesManage Magento 1.x to 2.x migrations, ensuring data integrity and module/theme compatibility.Oversee upgrade processes, including testing, rollback planning, and smooth deployment.5.
