Job DescriptionAbout the roleThe Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance, facility readiness, and a safe, compliant work environment. This includes managing maintenance schedules, resources, and documentation; collaborating with internal teams and external contractors; and ensuring adherence to QEHS (Quality, Environment, Health & Safety) standards.The role also includes maintaining clean, comfortable, and presentable office and workplace areas to support staff well-being and productivity. The ultimate goal is to minimize downtime, maximize maintenance efficiency, and uphold operational and environmental excellence across the site.How You Will ContributeEnsure timely and cost-effective completion of all maintenance tasks, regardless of origin.Ensure the team is trained and compliant with QEHS standards, and that appropriate PPE is available for all relevant tasks.Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance plans. Conduct and document scheduled preventive maintenance and routine checks to the required standards.Maintain accurate and up-to-date databases and records of maintenance activities, inventory, and compliance.Ensure compliance with asset management registers and inventories, including tools, safety equipment, and test devices.Promote and enforce safety policies to protect all personnel and prevent incidents.Communicate and implement company policies related to Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.Report and escalate safety-related issues or incidents appropriately.If applicable, lead and manage a team by fostering collaboration, setting clear goals, and supporting professional development.Represent the organization positively, demonstrating behaviors aligned with company values and principles.Coordinate with external suppliers and contractors at local, regional, and global levels.What You Will BringEducation: MBO or HBO level; higher education is preferred.Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a relevant field. Experience in roles such as electrician, carpenter, welder, mechanic, or plumber is a plus.Skills: Strong planning, prioritization, organizational, and supervisory skills. Effective written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and team leadership.Technical: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email); experience with SAP is beneficial.Languages: Proficiency in both English and Dutch (written and verbal) is required.Attributes: Proactive, determined, takes initiative, leads by example, and builds strong teams.Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license preferred. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, shifts, and participate in standby rotations.
