The core function of Maintenance Supervisor is to ensure that equipment within one’s jurisdiction is maintained in a timely manner and to the highest standards by providing efficient and professional support to the Transport team.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement maintenance strategies to ensure safety and compliance of all equipment is metManage service and repair workflow to minimise truck downtime and maximise efficiencyLiaise and manage productive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholdersMust comply and adhere to State and National Legislation, ensuring vehicles are always roadworthyRaise / Complete and Log work & purchase orders by utilising PrixCar’s Asset Management Tool (Maximo)Liaise with internal and external clients / suppliers in a professional mannerSupport any afterhours equipment breakdowns, accidents / incidents and general maintenanceSchedule equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance, liaising with drivers on odometer entriesDiagnose and address any E-Pod and other Telematics’ equipment issues, and coordinate repairs accordinglyMonitor and report equipment / vehicle outages and, and ensure R&M is within budgetary expectationsCoordinate and compile relevant maintenance and asset management reports and share as instructedShow genuine Commitment to safetyExperience We Are Looking ForPrevious experience within a transport logistics environment/ fleet managementStrong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and vehicle diagnosticsUnderstanding of driver coordination, and compliance requirementsExceptional written communication, negotiation, networking, skillsAbility to manage competing priorities and respond calmly under pressureProficient MS office skills with a strong internal & external customer service focusOutstanding organisational skills with the ability to prioritise to competing deadlinesThe ability to develop effective working relationships within a team environmentProvide support and near miss analysis, and have an attention to detailA strong commitment and focus on safetyEssential Qualifications And LicensesMulti Combination (MC Endorsement) Licence, preferred but not essentialTLIF0005 (Apply a fatigue risk management system), essential and can be attained laterTLIF0006 (Administer a fatigue risk management system), essential and can be attained laterChain of Responsibility (CoR) Certificate, essential and can be attained laterIf you feel that this challenge and opportunity is right for you, we would love to hear from you!Prixcar is an employer of equal opportunity and encourages and values diversity and inclusion.
