Maintenance technician, Heerlen

Will you, as a technician, ensure everything runs smoothly in JD Sports' newest distribution center in Heerlen?This is a fantastic opportunity to work in the Netherlands' newest automated distribution center for a multichannel retailer of sports and casual wear, combining globally recognized brands.Our client has partnered with us to build a new 60,000 square meter distribution center in Heerlen. This facility, which will be fully operational by mid- to late 2025, will serve as a central logistics hub. The new distribution center is located in the De Beitel industrial estate in Heerlen.The role:You will independently or with a colleague perform planned maintenance tasks (corrective and preventive maintenance).You will troubleshoot malfunctions.You will prepare all necessary reports, including those for maintenance tasks performed during shifts, spare parts usage, and top-loss reports.You will continuously improve equipment performance through, among other things, top-loss reports and design changes.You actively investigate (or provide support for) the cause of equipment malfunctions.We require:You live in the Netherlands, in the Heerlen region.You have at least a technical diploma at MBO-3 level with general knowledge of mechanics, electrical engineering, and control engineering.You have practical knowledge of and experience with service and maintenance work on electrical and mechanical systems.Good written and spoken command of Dutch and English.You will start working in day shifts, which will gradually increase to a 2-shift system and then a 5-shift system. The 5-shift system will likely launch in mid-2026.The schedule will then look like this.2 morning shifts: 06:00 - 14:302 afternoon shifts: 14:00 - 22:302 night shifts: 22:00 - 06:304 days offDue to the working hours, working on weekends and location, it is important that you have your own transportation to get to work every day.You are able to work in a time-critical environment. You will start with a day shift, and the expectation is that you will transition to a 2-shift system in October and a 5-shift system in early 2026.Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer (max. 100 km per day). The Collective Labor Agreement for Metal and Technology, Technical Installation Companies applies. 32 vacation days plus additional days according to the collective labor agreement.
