Job DescriptionThe Operations of State Digital Economy Office serves as the strategic nerve center for the planning, integration, and performance monitoring of digital economy initiatives across all states in Malaysia. Positioned at the heart of the national digital transformation ecosystem, Operations plays a pivotal role in ensuring that state-level actions are aligned with national priorities, implemented with consistency, and measured with precision. Acting as both an enabler and orchestrator, Operations facilitates collaboration between state digital economy offices, national agencies, and the parent organization. It provides the structured support and oversight needed to scale digital impact equitably across the country.
Integrated Planning and CoordinationOperations lead the development of a unified workplan and master calendar for all state digital economy units. This ensures coherent planning, efficient resource utilization, and synchronized implementation of programs across Malaysia. Data Management and Intelligence HubOperations manage a central data repository and dashboard system that captures and aggregates key performance indicators (KPIs), milestones, and initiatives from all states. This unified view enables data-driven decision-making, policy alignment, and performance transparency.
Outcome and Impact TrackingBy monitoring implementation outputs and outcomes, Operations generates impact heatmaps and performance analytics that provide insights into what’s working, where support is needed, and how interventions can be refined for greater effectiveness. Strategic Reporting and RepresentationOperations consolidate inputs and reports from across the states to produce high-quality submissions to national bodies, policymakers, and the parent organization. These reports are structured to highlight progress, challenges, and recommendations, supporting strategic advocacy and continuous improvement. The Senior Executive supports the execution and monitoring of coordinated efforts under Operations by driving operational alignment across state units.
This includes managing workplans, maintaining data repositories, tracking outcomes, and preparing reports that inform strategic decisions. Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and review the development and updates of integrated workplans and the master calendar for state-level initiatives. Maintain and curate data repositories and assist in the administration of state dashboards for performance tracking. Coordinate the collection, validation, and analysis of outcome data to inform impact heatmaps and dashboards. Prepare and review in the consolidated of reports for submission to national stakeholders and relevant bodies. Liaise with state representatives to gather inputs, resolve implementation issues, and ensure alignment with central HQ directives.
Provide administrative and coordination support to ensure smooth operations within the office. Assist the Senior Manager in driving process improvements and building knowledge-sharing platforms. QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience in coordination, planning, or program management roles. Familiarity with data management and reporting tools (Excel, dashboards, etc. ). Experience working with government agencies or in multi-stakeholder environments is preferred.
